Just today I refrained from making a rant about yet another piece of advice about using an antibiotic on a dog in a TOTALLY pointless situation that doesn't it required the use of an antibiotic under no circumstances. And while you ignorant fools continue to use precious antibiotics without ANY rationale, we vets for this reason are subjected to more and more restrictions on the tools we can use to treat yours (and ours! ) animals. It's okay to train health workers, obviously we too have our responsibilities, but I remain convinced that the biggest problem lies in the totally reckless abuse of antibiotics by "simple citizens" with the complacency of pharmacists who, in defiance of any law, often dispense antibiotics no prescription. We must all commit ourselves. Although perhaps it is already late.
