What is ENS program? The U.S. Military in their canine program developed a method that still serves as a guide to what works. In an effort to improve the performance of dogs used for military purposes, a program called "Bio Sensor" was developed. Later, it became known to the public as the "Super Dog" Program. Based on years of research, the military learned that early neurological stimulation exercises could have important and lasting effects. Their studies confirmed that there are specific time periods early in life when neurological stimulation has optimum results. The first period involves a window of time that begins at the third day of life and lasts until the sixteenth day. It is believed that this interval of time is a period of rapid neurological growth and development, and therefore is of great importance to the individual.

The program dealt with early neurological stimulation in order to give the dog a superior advantage. Its development used five exercises, designed to stimulate the neurological system. Each training involves the management of each individual puppy once a day. Main benefits in dogs exposed to stimulation with the ENS program: - More stress tolerance - Stronger heartbeats - Greater disease resistance - Stronger adrenal glands - Greater safety - Better response to problem solving - Better tolerance for insertion into the family - Better tolerance to city life - Improved cardiovascular performance (heart rate)
Early Neurological Stimulation
The series requires the management of one puppy at a time while performing a series of five overall exercises. No preference order, the handler starts with a puppy and stimulates him using each of the five exercises. The handler completes the series from start to finish before starting with the next puppy. These five exercises will produce neurological stimulations, none of which occur naturally during this early period of life. Experience shows that while puppies will sometimes resist these exercises, others will seem indifferent. In both cases, caution is given to those who intend to use them. Excessive stimulation of the neurological system can have adverse and harmful results.

These exercises have an impact on the neurological system by activating it earlier than would normally be expected. The result is increased capacity which will later help make a difference in their performance. Those who play with their puppies and manage them regularly should continue to do so because neurological exercises are not a substitute for ordinary management, socialization or bonding. But what differentiates the various subjects? What is the "more" that some subjects have? Many think that the dog's performance has a hereditary origin. Some studies carried out on horses claim that performance on their speed had only 35% of hereditary origin, the remaining 65% related to nutrition, management and training. These studies mainly deal with the physical aspect, performance and speed, but not the intellectual part, neglecting what is most important in individuality and in their intellectual capacities.

The qualities that some individuals have are often related to experiences, and their ability to connect them together. There have been many animal improvement programs, there have been many selections, but few are the farms that use consolidated selection techniques and methods. Many differences between individuals can be explained by having used early stimulation methods, differences that highlight substantial results given by the observation itself.
